  31. Sean Strong

    December 30, 2013 at 9:17 am

@josh preston. They cannot trade Stafford. He is guaranteed 91 million dollars. We’re stuck with him. They will take a WR with the 10th pick.

The Lions need to post a sign: “Closed due to poor ownership and management which produced lack of interest!” Unfortunately, there are still many of us who care or we wouldn’t be posting on here…

    Sorry meant coaching staff

  48. James Michael Caraher

    December 30, 2013 at 10:25 am

Matt was a good pick. It isn’t the players it’s the owners not listening to the coaches. The owners need to quit worrying about money. It would be an awsome thing if no one showed up opening day next year… Owners would be besides themselves.

  49. Tom Brown

    December 30, 2013 at 10:37 am

Well……Mayhew should be able to at least get a top corner at that position, and another very good one in the second round….

    December 30, 2013 at 10:43 am

Can we please draft a new owner

  51. Renee Ziaya

    December 30, 2013 at 11:00 am

I think Detroit would have a better team if the Ford’s sold them to someone who isn’t afraid to spend some real $$ on the team!! They have had enough time and have gone no where!!!!!

  52. Eddie Klenow

    December 30, 2013 at 11:00 am

They need to step up they re game

  53. Myri A Roberts

    December 30, 2013 at 11:04 am

I would give up a draft pick to dump Ford as the owner

  54. Myri A Roberts

    December 30, 2013 at 11:05 am

let see Ford sr, Ford jr and the coach

  55. Adam Decker

    December 30, 2013 at 11:06 am

The owners aren’t playing or coaching but they can control who the GM and front office personal are. The Fords trust their GMs too much. They have opened the check book the past few years. They Have A Top 15 Salary but it’s all in QB, WR, DT and LB. They over pay avg players to stay here because they can’t get the good free agents to sign. Wasted Draft picks in 1st and 2nd rounds have been an issue. Ie. Broyles, LeShoure, Best and Young. That all lays on Mayhew and the Scouts who were all under Millen during that debacle. GET A NEW GM. That team needs a shutdown CB and a DE that’s fast off the edge. Ziggy is not quick enough.

  56. Nick Lezan

    December 30, 2013 at 11:16 am

The Lions need help in the secondary. A top cornerback with speed. Play bump and run defense and give time for Suh Fairley Young Ansa to sack the QB. Ford Sr needs to let Ford Jr take over the team and get new defense coach. Also needs a QB coach for Stafford and Hill to learn to throw ball downfield to Megatron.

  57. Mary McKee

    December 30, 2013 at 11:21 am

That and an owner who is not afraid to dump someone’s sorry butt if they are not performing.

  58. Tracy Sparks

    December 30, 2013 at 11:40 am

Does it really matter? I have been a fan for 36 years and have seen many front office staff, many coaches, and many good and bad players come and go. The end result is always the same. I get excited during the draft and the build up to the start of the season…then it happens…the Lions fall on their face and turn into a major buzz kill.

  59. Al Detloff

    December 30, 2013 at 11:41 am

If we don’t have a real coach; all the top 10 draft picks in the world won’t help! The Lions are an embarrassment!

    December 30, 2013 at 11:41 am
