Reggie Bush, Glover Quin and Jason Jones visit Lions

Reggie Bush to Detroit?

The Lions haven’t made a big splash in Free Agency… yet.

Some rather big moves could be on the horizon however as the Lions meet with RB Reggie Bush today, as well as S Glover Quin and DE Jason Jones.

All three moves could fill holes in the Lions roster that desperately need to be filled.

With the exit of Delmas a possibility, Glover Quin could fit in nicely. Quin recorded 84 tackles last year, to Delmas’s 38 – Delmas hasn’t seen 84 since 2010 – then again, he hasn’t been healthy since then either. Glover has played all 16 games since his rookie season.

Jason Jones will look to fill the hole left presumably being vacated by Cliff Avril who is visiting with the Saint Louis Rams tonight, however the comparison with Avril isn’t as close as in the case of Delmas/Quin. Avril recorded 35 tackles, 9.5 sacks and played in 15 games for Detroit in 2012, Jones played 12 games and only recorded 12 tackles, 3 sacks.

The biggest news of the day is the visit from Miami running back Reggie Bush. Bush is a solid 1000 yard rusher, with the speed and hands to play slot receiver when needed. Bush would run in tandem with LeShoure for carries – It is unsure where this would leave running back Joique Bell. As Bush is not an every down back, Bell could still see some carries, perhaps as a goal line threat.

We will be following all signings in our live blog, which will have a full record of all signings, as well as any rumors as they happen.

Still don’t understand WHY Bush wants Detroit? I’d think he would try to get on a competitive team… or maybe he knows his career is in decline and the Lions would be a nice team to coast by with for awhile.

^ Mark is a tool. Bush wants to come to Detroit because we are right there. Calvin broke the record with 4 deep all season. Watch what happens when we have a threat in the backfield! GO LIONS!
