The 2017 NFL Scouting Combine is officially in the books, which means that free agency is about to get underway. Though free agency does not officially begin until 4 p.m. on March 9th, the “legal tampering period” which began at noon on March 7th is underway and you can be sure that Detroit Lions GM Bob Quinn is already working the phones.

That being said, depending on which direction Quinn decides to go in free agency will dictate how the Lions draft in 2017. For example, if he is able to sign a couple of free agent offensive linemen, chances are he will avoid that position in the early rounds of the draft.

There is no question about it that the Lions have holes just about everywhere on both offense and defense. In fact, special teams and quarterback seem to be the only units good to go for the 2017 season with quarterback Matthew Stafford, kicker Matt Prater, and Punter Nick Harris coming back.

This could very well be the most important offseason in a long time for the Lions and having a stellar draft is crucial. The combine is over and we now know which players improved their draft stock and which ones will likely fall a bit lower than originally expected.

Let’s take a look at what would be the perfect NFL Draft for our Detroit Lions.

*Note: This Mock Draft assumes that Bob Quinn takes care of the offensive line via free agency.
