Tigers fall 5-4 in Cleveland, Losing streak hits 6
The Indians scored 3 runs in the bottom of the 8th and the bullpen shut down the Tigers in the 9th as they swept Detroit out of Ohio. For the third straight game, the Tigers starting pitching kept them in the game, but the bullpen couldn’t come through. Their loss Sunday marks the second straight series in which Detroit is swept, and their 6th straight overall loss. Phil Coke pitched 6 innings and allowed 2 ER, while Justin Masterson also allowed 2 ER in 7 innings for Cleveland. Don Kelly went 2-5 with a double, and Grady Sizemore was shutdown by Tigers pitching and went 0-5.
The task doesn’t get any easier for Detroit as they host the New York Yankees (16-9) in a 4-game series starting Monday night. They’ll try to stop this losing streak back home at Comerica Park.
Here is the upcoming schedule for the Yankees series:
Monday vs. NYY 7:05pm. ESPN, FSD-HD
Tuesday vs. NYY 7:05pm. FSD-HD
Wednesday vs. NYY 7:05pm FSD+-HD (due to the Red Wings game)
Thursday vs. NYY 1:05pm FSD-HD

Great start to your blogging career Jeff, welcome aboard!
I read Harry Harrisons book in preparation, and my friend and I went up to Treasures and Pleasures, the posters/stills shop in Little Newport Court run by John Thomas (yes, really) who supplied us with a poster and a set of stills for our publicity. The poster was as striking as I remembered it, but the stills gave a hint of what was to come. Rather than teeming masses, the population explosion seemed to consist of about eight extras. When we saw the film, our fears were confirmed. The crowd scenes were rubbish.
I’ve been surfing on-line greater than 3 hours nowadays, yet I by no means found any interesting article like yours. It’s beautiful value sufficient for me. In my opinion, if all site owners and bloggers made good content as you probably did, the net shall be much more useful than ever before. “Now I see the secret of the making of the best persons.” by Walt Whitman.
