The Detroit Red Wings have had a horrible season thus far sitting in last place in the Eastern Conference.

Let’s throw it back to May 6, 2010. Detroit was down 3-0 in the Western Conference semi-finals to the San Jose Sharks. Red Wings forward Johan Franzen wasn’t ready to go home just yet. He scored four goals in game four to help the Wings win the game 7-1 and take the series back to San Jose.

Detroit ended up losing the series 4-1, but this was one of Franzen’s more memorable moments in his career.

Franzen is still on the Injured Reserve list and has not touched the ice since the 2015-16 season. In 602 career games Franzen has recorded 187 goals and 183 assists for 370 points. Will he ever see the ice again?
