There really isn’t a more appropriate adjective to describe the final play of Sunday’s NFC Divisional playoff game between the New Orleans Saints and Minnesota Vikings other than miraculous.
Vikings quarterback Case Keenum found Stefon Diggs who managed to stay in bounds and ran to the end zone as time expired, sending the hometown crowd into a frenzy as the Vikings advanced to the NFC Championship game. The incredible finish has already been dubbed the “Minnesota Miracle”.
But what also caught everyone’s attention was the botched tackle attempt by Saints safety Marcus Williams, who made contact with nothing but air and the ground.

Detroit Lions cornerback Darius Slay, known to have some comedic soundbites that are routinely played on 97.1 The Ticket, took to Twitter to let the world know he didn’t quite think that everything was on the up and up.
In a post that’s no longer on his Twitter page, Slay said the following:
Perhaps a conspiracy could be the only logical explanation as to how badly that tackle was missed. Or, as is most likely, it was just a mistake at the worst possible time of the game from New Orleans’ perspective.
Meanwhile, fellow Lions player Miles Killebrew tweeted out his sympathy to Williams, who has since become the butt-end of several photoshop shenanigans.
