Two Detroit Tigers made the cut – 2B Jonathan Schoop and SS Niko Goodrum.

Schoop completed his first season with the Tigers this season, blasting eight home runs with a .278 batting average with an OPS of .799 in 177 plate appearances. Meanwhile, Goodrum earned the nomination despite having started only one game at the position after September 1.

The winners will be officially announced on Tuesday, November 3.

Three intriguing forward options for Red Wings GM Steve Yzerman to consider

It’s the official start of free-agency this afternoon, and the Detroit Red Wings will be looking to add to their team. GM Steve Yzerman has already indicated that the team will be making moves, though will be “conservative” in their approach.

LW Anthony Duclair

The former third round pick of the New York Rangers enjoyed a break out season with the Ottawa Senators last year, scoring 23 goals in 66 games. And it was a bargain, as he only counted $1.65 million against the salary cap.

C Mikael Granlund

The Finnish forward was drafted by the Minnesota Wild, where he played before being traded to the Nashville Predators during the 2018-19 season. He enjoyed his best statistical season the year prior, scoring 21 goals with 46 assists.

C Erik Haula

Splitting time between the Carolina Hurricanes and Florida Panthers, Haula remains among the more intriguing players yet to find a new NHL home. He’s only two seasons removed from a career high 29 goal season with the Vegas Golden Knights and helping them reach the 2018 Stanley Cup Finals.
