The Detroit Pistons just acquired 7'1 center Thon Maker from the Milwaukee Bucks in exchange for Stanley Johnson, but superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo isn't happy about it. The two had played together for three years after Maker was drafted 10th overall in 2016.

“Thon is like my little brother, this one hurts more than any trade that happened that I’ve been a part of but this is the business we work in,” he explained. “I talked to Thon, but I didn’t try to talk to him a lot cause I know I would get emotional cause he’s technically my little brother, been with him three years. You know, it’s tough, but he’s a tough guy and this opportunity is going to be good for him.”
Maker averaged about 11.7 minutes per game this year, and is expected to get more playing time with Detroit. It wasn't the first move the Pistons made head of the NBA Trade Deadline, as they dealt Reggie Bullock to the Los Angeles Lakers in exchange for Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk and a second-round pick.
