2019 World Series will feature several former Detroit Tigers pitchers

Detroit Tigers fans, you may want to look away.

The 2019 World Series matchup is official. The Houston Astros will attempt to win their second title in three years, and they’ll battle the Washington Nationals who are appearing in their first ever Fall Classic.

Four former Detroit Tigers pitchers will now be playing against each other. Houston’s Justin Verlander and Washington’s Max Scherzer, Anibal Sanchez, and Fernando Rodney all once donned the Old English D, but weren’t able to deliver a title to the city that’s been thirsting for glory since 1984.
