Ex-Tigers Max Scherzer, Anibal Sanchez and Fernando Rodney are World Series Champs!

It may have taken seven games, but we can finally say that we have a new World Series champion!

The Washington Nationals completed the comeback by taking down the Houston Astros in Game 7 from Minute Maid Park, winning their first title in franchise history!

The victory is also notable from a local angle, as former Tigers pitchers Max Scherzer, Anibal Sanchez and Fernando Rodney can now call themselves World Series champs! Unfortunately, it came at the expense of former Tigers ace Justin Verlander, who was attempting to help the Astros to a second title in three years.
