Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford is doing everything possible to try and will his team to a playoff spot, averaging 312.4 yards per game while ranking second in the NFL with 19 touchdowns and fifth with a passer rating of 106.0.
He’s also doing this while not fully healthy, having dealt with a hip issue earlier this season on top of the back injury from last season.

He was limited in Wednesday’s practice after apparently suffering an injury during Sunday’s loss to the Oakland Raiders. However, he isn’t worried about it affecting him for this weekend’s pivotal matchup against the Chicago Bears, and he expects to be good to go.
“No, I’m fine. I’ll be good to go,” Stafford explained. “I’m not really worried about it. Something different, but I’m totally good.”
However, his voice was still a bit hoarse from the illness he was dealing with last week.
“I mean, it’s way better,” he said. “I’m fine, just a little sick, but so is everybody in Michigan right now.”
