We all know Barry Sanders is the greatest running back the NFL has ever seen. Purely worth the price of admission, he’d bring fans out of their seats every week with spectacular runs that would embarrass opposing defenses.
On this date in 1996, he set another plateau in his Hall of Fame Career. During a road matchup against the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field, Sanders earned his 8th straight 1,000 yard season, setting an NFL record.
