On Thursday, the Detroit Lions opened up their 2019 preseason schedule with a 31-3 loss to the New England Patriots.
During the game, Lions wide receiver Jermaine Kearse was forced to leave the game with what will almost certainly be a season-ending leg injury.
With Kearse out of the picture, the Lions are likely to sign a free agent receiver to take his place.
