Whether you like it or not, the Detroit Lions ARE NOT “good to go” when it comes to the wide receiver position.

Sure, they have Kenny Golladay, Marvin Jones Jr., and Danny Amendola, but if you believe that is a recipe for success, you are sorely mistaken.
Golladay has the makings of being a top 10 or so receiver in the league but he is still a year or two away from getting to that point. Jones Jr. is certainly past his prime, and Amendola has played only two full seasons in his 10-year NFL career.
Chances are the Lions are going to need more wide receiver depth in 2019, which is why I think they should sign a free agent WR before the season starts.
Here are three options:
Michael Crabtree

Michael Crabtree, who is 31, is he best available free agent WR at this time. Though Crabtree was underwhelming in 2018 with the run-first Baltimore Ravens, he is still a red zone threat who could be a nice weapon for Matthew Stafford and the Lions’ offense.
Rishard Matthews

Rishard Matthews, who is 29, started the 2018 season with the Tennessee Titans before asking for his release because of a rough relationship with then OC Matt LeFleur. Matthews best season came in 2016 when he hauled in 65 catches for 945 yards and nine touchdowns with the Titans.
Mike Wallace

Mike Wallace is risky because he is coming off a major injury which sidelined him for nearly the entire 2018 season. That being said, Wallace should come rather cheap and could end up being a solid No. 4 for the Lions in 2019.
