3 Players who could be playing their last games as a Detroit Lion

After blowing yet another double-digit lead, the Detroit Lions managed to lose to the New Orleans Saints in Week 4, dropping their record to 1-3 on the season. Fortunately, they followed up that loss with an impressive 34-16 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 6 to move within a game of .500.

Though we just over a quarter of the way through the season, the Lions have dug themselves a hole and they will have some important decisions to make prior to the NFL trade deadline.

Here are 3 Lions who could be traded before the trade deadline.

Marvin Jones Jr.

At this point, there is almost no chance that Marvin Jones Jr. is re-signed by the Detroit Lions following the 2020 season. Marvin will want to get one more nice contract before he retires and I would be very surprised if the Lions paid up. It will be interesting to see if there are any contenders who are needy of a veteran wide receiver to solidify their offense. The Lions may get a 5th round pick for Jones Jr.

Jarrad Davis

Many believe Jarrad Davis should never have been put on the Lions 2020 53-man roster. That being said, Davis does have a ton of athletic ability and it is very possible that he could flourish with a competent coaching staff. Though his snaps have been limited (only 11 in Week 6), he has played well when given the opportunity. I am thinking a 6th or 7th round pick for Davis.

Kenny Golladay

Yep, I said it. Do not be shocked if the Lions trade Kenny Golladay rather than giving him a contract extension. Most believed a deal would be done before the start of the season but that has not happened and now that the Lions are 2-3 and Quinn could consider offers for his star receiver. That being said, if Quinn does trade Golladay, it had better be for an absolute haul because he is one of the best young receivers in the NFL. This one is very interesting and I would not be surprised if the Lions could get a 1st Round pick for Golladay, though this trade seems less likely to happen.
