3 Players who will soon become Detroit Lions (in one way or another)

[tps_title]QB – Brian Hoyer[/tps_title]

The way things stand, if Matthew Stafford goes down with an injury, the Detroit Lions season is over. There is just no way that backup Josh Johnson has what it takes to win games in the NFL and in my opinion, the Lions should be looking for a better backup. That QB is former New England Patriots backup, Brian Hoyer. Would Hoyer be able to win a ton of games on his own with this Lions’ roster? Of course not, but he could take over for a game or two if needed and be much better than what the Lions currently have.

Since Hoyer is a vested veteran, he does not have to clear waivers and can sign any team he wants to.

UPDATE: Hoyer is expected to meet with the Indianapolis Colts this week.
