The Michigan Wolverines got some news they weren’t hoping to receive ahead of Saturday afternoon’s showdown against Ohio State.
3-star defensive lineman Tyrece Woods decided to de-commit from the Wolverines, after originally committing to the school back in August after receiving an offer due to his performance at their Big Man camp in June.
In a note posted on his Twitter account, Woods posted, “Right now my family and I feel that it is in my best interest to decommit from Michigan and re-open my recruitment and weigh all of my options.”
Woods currently has several offers from several MAC and Ivy League schools.

Shea Patterson predicts Winovich status
Shea Patterson confirms everything we were all thinking about Chase Winovich.
This is great news for the Maize and Blue as they will need all of their depth on the defensive line to get pressure on OSU’s QB Haskins. Winovich has been their vocal leader throughout the season coining it the “Revenge Tour”. The Wolverines have taken care of business in their first three opportunities at revenge with their fourth coming this Saturday.
The presence of Rashan Gary coupled with anything that they can get out of fifth-year senior Chase Winovich is just what the doctor ordered in this rivalry game.
