Early Friday morning, news broke that The Washington Football Team had cut future Hall of Fame running back Adrian Peterson.
According to reports, Peterson is not ready to call it a career and he hopes to sign on the dotted line with a team prior to the start of the 2020 season.
Tom Pelissero is reporting that a source of his had indicated that three teams have already inquired about Peterson’s services.
Three teams have already inquired about RB Adrian Peterson since the Washington Football Team released him this morning, per source.
Peterson is 35, but fully intends to keep playing. Once the dust settles on cuts, the NFL’s No. 5 all-time rusher could have options.

Nation, do you think one of those teams is the Detroit Lions?
WHY THE DETROIT LIONS COULD LAND RB ADRIAN PETERSON PRIOR TO WEEK 1
According to reports, Peterson is not ready to retire and will look to land with another NFL franchise prior to Week 1.
As I have said, I am not 100% comfortable with the Detroit Lions current situation at running back. Kerryon Johnson has not been able to stay healthy (14 games missed in 2 seasons) since he was in diapers (exaggeration) and rookie D’Andre Swift has missed most of training camp with a leg injury. Not to mention, Swift dealt with multiple injuries in college, so there may be an issue there also.
