Brad Holmes has been hired as general manager, Dan Campbell has been hired as head coach, and reports are that Aaron Glenn will be hired as defensive coordinator. This leaves finding and hiring a new offensive coordinator as the most important task for the Detroit Lions.
During his introductory press conference on Thursday, Campbell said that his immediate focus was on finding the right coordinators for the team.
Well, according to reports, 4 candidates have emerged as potential hires.
Three of those candidates were mentioned by Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press.
From Detroit Free Press:
The Lions are expected to hire New Orleans Saints secondary coach Aaron Glenn as their defensive coordinator, and have three known candidates for the OC job: Baltimore Ravens quarterbacks coach James Urban, former Los Angeles Chargers head coach Anthony Lynn and Buffalo Bills quarterbacks coach Ken Dorsey.
In addition to those three candidates, Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated is reporting that the Lions are also interviewing Steelers’ wide receiver coach Ike Hilliard.
