The Michigan Wolverines are losing out on a 4-star linebacker that had originally committed his services to Ann Arbor.
Tyler Martin announced that he was backing out of his commit to the Wolverines and reopening his recruitment.
The Wolverines have made some dramatic changes to head coach Jim Harbaugh‘s staff after he re-signed through 2025, and not all of the moves have gone over well with recruits. Martin, who is ranked the No. 278 overall in the 2022 247Sports Composite and who was recruited by now-former defensive coordinator Don Brown, is now open to seek other opportunities.

Packers QB Aaron Rodgers clarifies past comments
The dominant season of the Green Bay Packers came to an unceremonious end on Sunday at the hands of the Tampa Bay Buccanneers, their second straight NFC title game loss. Almost immediately after the setback, speculation began to abound as to the future of quarterback Aaron Rodgers in the Frozen Tundra.
During his post-game interview, he didn’t exactly sound committed to remaining in the only NFL home he’s ever known.
“A lot of guys futures, they’re uncertain, myself included,” he said. “Just gonna have to take some time away and clear my head and kind of see what’s going on with everything.”
But during an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show earlier today, he somewhat alleviated the worries of Packers fans, offering some clarification to his comments Sunday.
“I don’t feel like I said anything that I hadn’t said before,” Rodgers said. “I said it the first time I talked to the media. It was just more of a realization, I think, that ultimately my future is not in my control, which just kind of hit me in the moment.”
“I was thinking about Aaron Jones and Corey Linsley and some other guys we have under contract, Big Dog (Marcedes Lewis), guys who I don’t know what their futures are gonna be, and myself included.
“Obviously, after the season that I had, and potentially winning MVP and we obviously made another good run, I don’t think that there’s any reason why I wouldn’t be back.”
“Look, there’s not many absolutes, as you guys know, in this business. So to make an absolute statement about something that is not an absolute, I didn’t do it. I guess that’s why everyone went kind of nuts.”
And if team president Mark Murphy‘s comments are any indication, Rodgers won’t be changing addresses.
“We’re not idiots. Aaron Rodgers will be back, he’s our leader,” he said.
