The Michigan Wolverines have already reeled in 17 commits from the class of 2017, a class that ranks 2nd in the Big Ten and top-5 nationally. The last two recruits in particular have both come from the offensive line, in the form of Joel Honigford (Sugarcreek, OH) and Andrew Steuber (Darien, CT).
Early Wednesday afternoon, they landed their 18th commit from the 2017 class and third straight offensive lineman prospect as 4-star OT Kai-Leon Herbert (Fort Lauderdale, FL) announced he was going to play for Jim Harbaugh and the Wolverines come next season, and he did it in fashion.

The 6-foot-5, 284-pound Herbert is the seventh different 4-star prospect Michigan has landed from the ’17 class and is the fourth offensive lineman to commit to the Wolverines. He’s listed in the top 25 at his position and top 35 in the state of Florida.
Herbert attended a satellite camp hosted by the Wolverines back in early June and then made an unofficial visit just a couple weeks after that. He had received 25 Division I scholarship offers, mostly from schools in the south. Michigan was one of four Big Ten schools looking at Herbert, along with Illinois, Maryland, and Wisconsin.
