Yes, we’re feeling very appreciative of our military this weekend on the eve of a God forsaken election. The ‘options’ are endless…. get it? Because all of the military academy football programs run the option! *rimshot*

Hey don’t look now but the Black Knights of Army already have their most wins since the 2010 season, which happens to be the last time they appeared in a bowl game. Compared to the other armed forces football programs, Army has been the least successful on the gridiron, they’ve been in a bowl game just five times since 1984.

On the other side, Air Force has been steady as of late as well, they’ve gone bowling in December every year since 2003 with the exception of the 2013 campaign. And just like Army and Navy, they are extremely run-heavy due to the triple-option offense they run.

Awin for the Falcons would earn them the illustrious Commander-in-Chief’s Trophy, hardware given to the winner of a round-robin style between the three military schools. Air Force dispatched Navy earlier in the year, who is the current holder of the trophy. The Falcons have claimed it three times since 2010.
