5 Players the Detroit Lions MUST re-sign

2. Andre Roberts

In 2016, Andre Roberts showed that he can make big plays as a returner. Roberts’ two punt return touchdowns were tied for the most in the league, while his 12.3 punt return average ranked third. Roberts also recorded 14 catches for 188 yards and one touchdown. While those are not big numbers, he received very limited playing time on offense and many of his receptions were on crucial fourth quarter drives.

Roberts was not a key member of the offense, but his abilities on the punt return should be enough for the Lions to bring him back in 2017.
