The time for waiting on Matthew Stafford to lead this Lions franchise to it’s first NFC North title and it’s first playoff win in most of our adult lifetimes – is over. He has everything he needs to succeed and is beloved and feared as a thrower of the football. Perhaps his biggest hurdle will be the monumental task of shedding half a century of losing football culture out of the minds of Metro Detroit. No player on this Lions roster has more of a responsibility to show up and show out than John Matthew Stafford.
