[tps_title]5 – Ameer Abdullah, RB[/tps_title]
When the Lions drafted Ameer Abdulah in the second round of the draft, they got a player who was extremely productive at the University of Nebraska.
Abdullah will most likely begin the season as more of a third-down running back while also filling in for Joique Bell at times.
I believe Abdullah will make an immediate impact for the Lions, especially catching the ball. The key for the rookie will be to hold on to the ball, something that was a challenge for him at Nebraska. If Abdullah does that, he will make a great outlet option for Matthew Stafford and could help to jump-start an offense that struggled in 2014.
