4. Devin Taylor
Throughout his tenure with the Lions, Devin Taylor showed potential as a rotational defensive end. He recorded seven sacks in 2015, leading the Lions to believe that he was ready to take over a starting defensive end position. This did not quite pan out, as Taylor was rather inconsistent and only recorded 4.5 sacks in 2016 despite starting every game, per NFL.com. Taylor flat out missed tackles at times and failed to be the impact player the Lions hoped he would be. Based on his 2016 performance, it would be surprising to see the Lions bring Taylor back in 2017.
