Believe it or not, going into the 2014 playoffs the Red Wings only had one 20 goal scorer, and that was Gustav Nyquist with 28. Of course Pavel Datsyuk and Henrik Zetterberg only played in 45 games apiece last season, but it is still a telling stat.

This season the Red Wings have a much more balanced scoring attack as Datsyuk (26), Tatar (29), Nyquist (27), and Abdelkader (23) all reached the 20 goal mark.

Having a balanced scoring attack will be one of the keys to beating the Lighting in the first round and as they advance on through the playoffs.
