5 recently cut players the Detroit Lions should sign

Major Wright

Cut by: Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Another veteran defensive back that the Lions could take a look at is former Bears and Buccaneers safety Major Wright. The 7-year safety out of Florida was recently cut by Tampa Bay after two seasons with the team. Wright had 9 interceptions between 2011-2013 with Chicago, but has since seen his production take a considerable drop off in recent years.

While the Lions are set at their starting safeties with Glover Quin and Rafael Bush, Wright would bring a great veteran presence to the Detroit defense.
