By 4:00 p.m. EST today, NFL teams will have to have their rosters down to 53 players.
This means there will be a ton of cuts throughout the day and some of those cuts will end up signing with other teams before the start of the 2020 season, which is just a week away.

Though I am happy with the Detroit Lions‘ current situation at safety, mostly because I believe Tracy Walker is going to be solid moving forward, some believe Bob Quinn should add a player to the mix.
As noted by Joe Marino, there are a handful of “roster-worthy” safeties who have recently been cut.
Those safeties include Sean Davis, Adrian Colbert, HaHa Clinton-Dix, Damarious Randall, and Earl Thomas.

Of that bunch, Sean Davis and HaHa Clinton-Dix would be good fits for the Lions…if they are looking to add a veteran safety to the mix.
