5 Red Wings who could be moved at the trade deadline

4. STEVE OTT

As previously stated, it’s very likely to see at least one of either Steve Ott or Drew Miller be shipped out. They play a similar role: a fourth-line grinder and an excellent penalty killer. One thing that separates Ott from Miller is Ott’s reputation as an agitator. Ott is known to drop the gloves and loves to get into the heads of the opposing team.

Ott’s salary ($800,000) is slightly less than Miller’s ($1.025 million). Ott is also more versatile, as he can play on the wing or at center. However, he also takes more penalties, as his 56 penalty minutes are much higher than Miller’s 14. Regardless, he will likely draw interest from teams looking to upgrade their toughness and their penalty kill.
