Last season, the Michigan Wolverines sent ten players to the National Football League. And if the latest prediction from CBS Sports is any indication, the Wolverines are on the verge of once again sending a bevy of talent to the professional ranks.
Let’s take a look at who they’re projecting will soon take their talents to the NFL, and where they’re projected to land.
-Defensive end Kwity Paye: First round, No. 18 overall to Miami Dolphins
“Paye is a strong edge rusher that should complement Emmanuel Ogbah,” CBS Sports’ Josh Edwards wrote. “Miami needs to upgrade its pass rush and Paye is a good option.”
-Offensive tackle Jalen Mayfield: First round, No 31 overall to Kansas City Chiefs
“Kansas City adds an offensive tackle with the versatility to play inside,” Edwards wrote. “Even with the signing of Mike Remmers, the Chiefs have to continue prioritizing the offensive line.”
-Cornerback Ambry Thomas: Third round, No. 89 overall to Cleveland Browns
-Linebacker Cameron McGrone: Third round, No. 93 overall to Buffalo Bills
-Receiver Nico Collins: Fourth round, No. 104 overall to Baltimore Ravens
-Defensive tackle Carlo Kemp: Sixth round, No. 217 overall to Tampa Bay Buccaneers
-Running back Chris Evans: Sixth round, No. 220 overall to Green Bay Packers
