Marvin Jones is not the only man on the Lions that does well with a mic. Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford is magic with the mic. Not only does he provide quality entertainment with his in-game commentary. He also plays brilliantly when he is mic’d up, as Joe Buck explained in his interview with Stafford, “Every time you’ve worn this mic, you’ve completely gone off.”

Everyone’s favorite announcer, Joe Buck, sat down with Matthew Stafford to discuss his performances while mic’d up. One of the most memorable of those performances was against the Cleveland Browns during his rookie year. Stafford broke the record for throwing yards by a rookie quarterback en route to a thrilling last-second win. He did so on the final gut-wrenching play of the game after separating his shoulder the play before.

The mic has captured a few more of Stafford’s remarkable comebacks including his bone-chilling comeback against the Dallas Cowboys in 2013. Stafford finished this game with his famous fake spike touchdown.

If the mic shows anything, it shows how much of a gamer he is. He clearly loves the game of football and has proven his toughness time and time again. Say what you want about Stafford but he is a tough, competitive quarterback.

His southern Georgia charm is also on display with the mic. The star quarterback and leader is clever, charismatic, and funny while wearing the mic. His personality on the field is that of a franchise quarterback; competitive, confident, and contagious.

Having Stafford mic’d up seems like the best of both worlds as we get an inside and interesting look at the Detroit Lions on the field. As well as the comforting feeling that there is a good chance Stafford will play well.

Can we get Stafford mic’d up for the rest of the year?
