Following a plea deal with prosecutors, former University of Michigan football player, Nate Johnson, has been sentenced to four days in jail and six months probation after his guilty plea on a misdemeanor assault and battery charge.
He was also ordered to pay one court fee of $450 and another of $180, as well as the medical expenses of the victim.

He was arrested following a September 30 incident in which he allegedly attacked a female student outside of a South Quad residence hall.

Diane Brown, spokesperson for the University of Michigan Division of Public Safety and Security, told MLive on Monday that Johnson, 19, was arrested on campus in the early morning hours of Saturday for an attack on a female student.
Details of the incident were not immediately clear, but the alleged victim was located at a dorm room on campus, Brown said.
Johnson was charged with one count of domestic assault and later released on a personal recognizance bond. He has a pre-trial date scheduled for Oct. 11.
Last month, Johnson told the court he had a “physical altercation” with a female. His plea agreement will allow his criminal record to be cleared as long as he follows court-imposed conditions, among which requires him to attend probation-approved anger management classes.
He is also prohibited from consuming drugs or alcohol (and must submit to random testing), prohibited from possession of a firearm and will have a review of his case on May 18. Any violation could result in up to three months in jail.
He played wide receiver last year as a freshman and caught a single pass.
