John O’Korn isn’t exactly the man on campus or a fan favorite for the Michigan Wolverines. His play was pretty sub-par on the season, possibly costing the Wolverines in a big way, particularly during games against rivals Michigan State and Ohio State.

On Tuesday during the team’s awards banquet, O’Korn made a comment about the Wolverines quarterback situation going forward.

From Land of 10:

“I’m so excited to watch Brandon [Peters] lead this team next year,” O’Korn told the crowd.

This comment resulted in many fans being angry at O’Korn once again. That’s not very surprising, considering the Wolverines just landed former 5-star recruit Shea Patterson, who transferred from Ole Miss. If Patterson is ruled eligible to play next year by the NCAA, most would believe it’s his job to lose next season.

Here are some of the tweets from the fans who took exception to O’Korn’s comment:

It’s pretty clear that these fans still feel bitter towards O’Korn, and also that they would prefer Patterson over Peters next season, if Patterson is ruled eligible.

O’Korn went on to thank head coach Jim Harbaugh “for believing in me when few did, when I got benched at Houston.” He also threw some shade at his mother, who was wearing red to the event but later corrected, saying she looked beautiful.

There’s a good chance that if anybody else had made this comment, it would have been overlooked. But given the way most fans feel about O’Korn, this comment was just another reason for them to feel even more animosity towards him.
