On Wednesday evening, news broke that the Detroit Tigers had traded second baseman Ian Kinsler to the Los Angeles Angels.
As soon as the trade was announced, the Twitter universe absolutely exploded with comments about Kinsler and some were pretty darn funny.
Mike Trout is not involved in the potential Ian Kinsler deal between the Tigers and Angels, I'm told.

Things that will be missed about Ian Kinsler:
1) sarcasm
2) blunt honesty
3) Gold Glove-caliber D
4) barely contained sarcasm after dumb Qs— Matthew B. Mowery (@matthewbmowery) December 14, 2017
5) Purposely dropping infield flys to keep the slower guy on base.
6) Telling umps to "Do their fucking job" within earshot of microphones https://t.co/8gRBPV7YeR

Ian Kinsler was one of the best players on a division rival and once yelled “Get the f*ck off our field” towards the Angels. However, I’d advise Angels fans to look past that. This guy is a great defender, runs the bases well and is a great bet to bounce back offensively.

Ron Gardenhire’s latest comments may just win Detroit Tigers’ fans over
Detroit Tigers’ manager, Ron Gardenhire, sat down with the media at the Major League Baseball Winter Meetings and dropped gem after gem for the masses. Credit to MLive.com for dropping this story first.
Gardenhire spent his 30 minutes talking more about quality of training than quantity. As a defensive specialist, the Tigers’ new manager will spend his time working with the infield and less with the pitchers, and give more control to pitching coach Chris Bosio.

Is Ian Kinsler sending a statement to Tigers GM Al Avila?
It’s Day 3 of the Major League Baseball Winter Meetings down in Orlando, Florida and things are slowly but surely starting to pick up. Some news surrounding the Detroit Tigers includes their interest in potentially reuniting with a former Tigers reliever.
Perhaps the biggest news regarding the club revolves around a trio of players on the current roster — Michael Fulmer, Shane Greene and Ian Kinsler — being the subject of trade talks at the meetings. The elder statesman in that group is probably the most likely to trade for a number of reasons. However, there is one major roadblock that could prevent Kinsler from being shipped out.
