Seattle Seahawks rookie defensive lineman Malik McDowell has not played at all this season due to injuries sustained in an ATV accident during the summer. The former Michigan State star recently found himself into legal trouble.

This past Sunday (December 10) in the wee hours of the morning, McDowell was arrested for disorderly conduct at a night club in Atlanta. According to police reports, McDowell was continually creating a scene and “throwing a tantrum,” which eventually led to his arrest.

Late Wednesday night, video of the night McDowell was arrested and subsequently booked by police was made public. The footage shows a very disgruntled and outspoken McDowell showering the officers with an onslaught of cussing and derogatory terms towards the two who arrested him at the club.

Fair warning in advance: the video below contains strong, offensive language that may be deemed as not safe for work.

The former 5-star recruit from Detroit and second-round pick from the Seahawks is not expected to play at all this season, from a healthy standpoint, per Seattle head coach Pete Carroll. Regardless of whether or not he is physical able to perform on the field, this is likely not to be perceived well from the Seahawks.

The University of Michigan, rival school of McDowell’s former team, has continued to generate off-the-field buzz this offseason, as is seemingly customary since Jim Harbaugh was named the head coach in December of 2014.

However, many feel that it has been an underwhelming and lackluster first three seasons in Ann Arbor for Harbaugh and the Wolverines. He has become well-aware of the outsiders judging and critiquing his program and is welcoming any and all pundits.
