As the end of the NFL regular season starts to wrap up, it’s time to start looking at which players will be representing the NFC and AFC in the Pro Bowl.
The process all started with the fans voting for which players they want to see playing the NFL’s version of the All-Star Game.
As you can see below, former Michigan State standout and current Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell was the overall leader in votes with 855,539, just edging out Tom Brady (833,481), Antonio Brown (832,446), and Carson Wentz (829,174).
Up until the final vote was tallied, Detroit Lions cornerback Darius Slay led all NFC CB’s in total fan votes. Unfortunately, Slay was unable to hold his lead as Xavier Rhodes of the Minnesota Vikings passed him to grab the No. 1 CB spot for the NFC.
As you probably noticed, not a single Lions player ended up with the most votes for their respective position.
Now that the fan vote has been finalized, we will have to wait for both the coaches and the players themselves to vote on who they think should be selected to the 2018 NFL Pro Bowl. Each groups ballot counts for one-third of the total vote.

Heading into Week 15, Slay was tied for third in the NFL with five interceptions and he is second in the NFL with 17 passes defended. Rhodes, on the other hand, has just two interceptions on the season to go with only nine passes defended. As far as their teams go, Slay’s Lions (7-6), trail Rhodes Vikings (10-3) by three games in the NFC North.
UPDATE: Darius Slay picked off two more passes on Saturday against the Bears so he now has a league-best seven on the season.
