Bowl season is now well underway, and the Big Ten is off to a great start. Entering Saturday, the conference has a bowl record of 5-0, which is the best bowl record of any conference.

Michigan State did their part in knocking off Washington State in Thursday’s Holiday Bowl, by a score of 42-17. The Spartans’ season may be over and a perfect bowl record for the Big Ten might still be on the line, but that isn’t stopping one of their captains from spewing his hatred towards Michigan.

On Saturday, senior Chris Frey tweeted out that he is wishing the rest of the Big Ten and South Carolina luck. South Carolina, of course, will square off against Michigan in the Outback Bowl on New Year’s Day.

It’s no secret that Michigan State has a strong dislike towards Michigan, and it’s also no secret that they felt slighted when the Outback Bowl by-passed the Spartans for the Wolverines.

This came after the Spartans beat the Wolverines head-to-head, had a better record, and also had a quality victory over a really good Penn State team. Michigan on the other hand, didn’t beat a single team in the regular season with a record above .500.

Frey clearly hopes that the rest of the Big Ten represents well during the remaining portion of bowl season, but even now he won’t be cheering for the Wolverines. Frey was a senior this past season, so his playing days at Michigan State are now over. But it appears that his hatred for Michigan will never be over.
