Marvin Jones Jr. Detroit Lions

One bright spot in the Detroit Lions season, though ultimately a disappointing one, was wideout Marvin Jones. Being the defacto replacement for Calvin Johnson is no easy task, but Jones has done well stretching the field and pressuring defenses in the Honolulu Blue.

Watch some insane highlights from Jones’ 2017 campaign:

Jones came into his second season as a Lion looking to build on his nearly 1,000-yard season from a year ago. He played in all 16 games for the Lions and led the team in receiving yards (1,101) and touchdowns (9). He was second to Golden Tate in targets (107) and receptions (61). But, he made those receptions count, averaging 18.0 yards per catch.

There’s no doubt missing the playoffs is a major disappointment for the Detroit Lions. But, all in all, Marvin Jones should be pleased with the season he had. It’s definitely something to build off of for Jones, who admittedly is more interested in wins than personal accolades. Getting this kind of production from our deep threat wideout.
