If you happen to be a fan of the Michigan Wolverines football team, 2017 was a difficult season to watch, especially if you are a fan of high-powered offenses.

The Wolverines offense was nowhere near being considered a “high-powered” offense as they ranked No. 105 out of 129 FBS teams in total offense.

Because of the struggles on the offensive side of the ball, there is no question about it that the Michigan offensive coaching staff will look different in 2018 than it did this past season.

According to Bruce Felman of Fox Sports and Sports Illustrated, Michigan offensive tackles/tight ends coach/run game coordinator Greg Frey is leaving the Wolverines to become the new offensive line coach at Florida State.

Frey was brought on by head coach Jim Harbaugh prior to the 2017 campaign. He won a National Championship as a Florida State player in 1992.

As noted earlier, the Wolverines offense was horrendous in 2017 and you can bet that Harbaugh will do whatever he can to make the changes necessary to improve by the time they take the field against Notre Dame in the 2018 opener.
