After rebounding from an embarrassing 3-9 2016 campaign followed by an even more embarrassing offseason, the Michigan State Spartans rebounded nicely as they finished 10-3. The turnaround was not quite enough to win the Big Ten, but it did include wins over both Michigan and Penn State.

But just because head coach Mark Dantonio has his team back in the double-digit win department, that does not mean everyone in the program is happy.

According to Andre Rison, his son, Hunter Rison will be transferring from Michigan State.

On Monday, Andre Rison made the announcement on The Drive With Jack on 92.1 FM in Lansing.

“It’s nothing against the program, it’s just the system doesn’t fit him and he doesn’t fit the system, evidently.”

This certainly comes to the surprise of most Spartans fans as Rison, as a freshman, was fourth on the team with 224 receiving yards during his freshman campaign.

Coming out of Skyline High School in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Hunter Rison was a 4-star wide receiver recruit in the Class of 2017.

Michigan to hire former Spartan quarterback to coaching staff

A former Spartan joining the Wolverines? Yeah, that’s what’s going on here.

Earlier today, FOX Sports’ Bruce Feldman reported that former Michigan State quarterback Dan Enos will be joining the Michigan Wolverines’ coaching staff via Twitter:

Enos is a Dearborn, Michigan native, and was quarterback of the Michigan State football team from 1987-91. He helped lead the Spartans to a share of the Big Ten title in 1990. This move comes as a bit of a surprise because Enos not only played quarterback at Michigan State, but he was also a running backs and quarterbacks coach there from 2006-09.
