JUST IN: Detroit Tigers announce lineup for TigerFest 2018

Snow is on the ground (and according to reports a lot more is coming this weekend) and fans of the Detroit Tigers are sitting by their fires dreaming about Spring Training and the 2018 Major League Baseball season to begin.

But, thanks to the Tigers, the fans will not have to wait until March to see some of their favorite players.

On Tuesday, the Tigers announced the lineup of current and former players and coaches who will be in attendance for TigerFest 2018.

From Detroit Tigers:

Over 35 current and former Tigers are scheduled to participate including Tigers manager Ron Gardenhire, current Tigers Miguel Cabrera, Nicholas Castellanos, José Iglesias, Michael Fulmer, Matthew Boyd, Daniel Norris, Shane Greene, Alexis Wilson and Jacoby Jones. Many players will be experiencing TigerFest for the first time, including Joe Jiménez and Jeimer Candelario. Former Tigers scheduled to appear are Hall of Fame Electee Alan Trammell, Jim Leyland, Todd Jones, Brandon Inge, Craig Monroe, Rod Allen and Don Kelly.

TigerFest will take place on Saturday, January 27th at Comerica Park.

This is a great way to get a closer look at some of your favorite players and coaches while you wait for Spring Training to begin.

Tickets for the event will be $29 for adults and $15 for children 12-and-under and can be purchased by clicking here. All fans attending will get a free pair of TigerFest earmuffs with the purchase of a ticket.

Tigers pitchers and catchers will report to Lakeland, Florida for Spring Training on February 13.
