BREAKING: Former Ohio State football coach interviews at Michigan

Some things just don’t seem to go well together. Peanut butter and onions, ice cream and anchovies, and a bathtub and a plugged-in toaster are a few that come to mind.

When it comes to college athletics, the University of Michigan and Ohio State University rivalry is quite possibly the biggest in all of sports. So, it was interesting to read that a former Buckeyes coach had interviewed for a position with the Wolverines.

According to reports, former Buckeyes co-offensive coordinator Ed Warriner has not only interviewed with Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh for an offensive analyst position, but he has been offered the job.

Warriner is currently an assistant under P.J. Fleck at Minnesota and has been since he was relieved of his duties by Buckeyes head coach Urban Meyer following the 2016 season.

An interesting note is that Warriner’s son, Edward has signed a letter of intent to play for Michigan State in 2018. He is a 3-star linebacker out of Olentangy Liberty High School in Powell, Ohio.

Since Harbaugh took over as head coach of the Wolverines prior to the 2015 season, he is 0-3 against Meyer and the Buckeyes. Who knows, maybe he is trying to do whatever he can to squeeze a bit of info from the former OSU assistant.

As far as Michigan and Ohio State not going together, who knows, maybe this will work out perfectly, it has before.

Heck, even peanut butter and onions went together in the 1989 film, “Little Monsters” starring Fred Savage!

According to Football Scoop, Warinner will join the Michigan staff for the 2018 season.
