It was not a great season for the Detroit Lions. Sure, they finished with a 9-7 record but were unable to qualify for the NFL Playoffs despite the Minnesota Vikings and Green Bay Packers losing their starting quarterbacks.
So, it was no real surprise that Lions cornerback Darius Slay was the only member of the team selected to play in the NFL Pro Bowl.
That was until yesterday (Friday) when it was announced that Lions guard T.J. Lang would be joining Slay at the Pro Bowl after Washington’s Brandon Scherff was forced to withdraw because of an injury.

According to Pro Football Focus, (which Lang thinks is ‘absolute garbage’) the Lions offensive lineman was the 14th best guard in the National Football League in 2017 with a 79.1 rating.
As soon as it was announced that Lang would be heading to the NFL’s version of the All-Star Game, the Twitter trolls came out.
Lol. Was hurt and was awful. Sad

You get that award for missing games and penalties?

Well, as we know, Lang pays attention to social media and when he saw the trolls come out in full-force, he had to respond.
“He doesn’t deserve the pro bowl, he had 4 holding calls!!” Lol I guess I’m the only OL that got called for holding this year.. some of y’all need to hold off on the haterade.

Not surprisingly, Lang’s tweet got plenty of negative responses and he fired back, including calling one “fan” a “loser.”
You got any proof loser? Keep hating loser.

To be fair, there were also plenty of Lions fans who took the time to congratulate Lang for being named to the Pro Bowl.
After being signed by the Lions as a free agent, Lang started 13 games for Detroit during the 2017 campaign. He is currently signed with the Lions through the 2019 season. He is slotted to make $8 million in 2018 and $8.25 million in 2019.
What do you think, did Lang deserve a Pro Bowl nod?
This is pretty dull for a town that got to see Dom Raiola battle fans for 10+ years
