We see hockey fights all the time but it’s not often that we get to see a full line brawl that even includes the goalies. But that’s exactly what happened on Saturday night in an ECHL game between the Toledo Walleye and the Kansas City Mavericks.

Watch as all hell breaks loose late in the third period with the Walleye in the lead 4-0.

The Walleye went on to win 5-0 but you can be sure the fans in attendance will remember this game for much more than the final score.

WATCH: Detroit Red Wings’ Justin Abdelkader gets face pounded

Friday night, the Detroit Red Wings took on the New York Islanders and things got messy. Forward Justin Abdelkader got into a scuffle that resulted in his face getting pounded thanks to referee interference.

On top of the fight, Abs delivered offensively as well, getting an assist on Darren Helm‘s heads-up goal in the third period, which put the Wings up 4-2. Abdelkader has 22 points on the season with eight goals in 46 games.

Zetterberg would go on to score late in the first for an early 3-0 lead for Detroit. But it was a wild third period. With Petr Mrazek getting the start again tonight, the goaltender gave up Detroit’s 3-1 lead in the third. After 60 minutes of play, the game headed into overtime tied 6-6. That’s right, there were eight goals in the third period. Certainly, something you don’t see every day.

In the end, the Red Wings lost 7-6 in overtime. Mrazek faced 28 shots and stopped just 22, for a .786 save percentage this game. With 39 shots on goal from the Wings and six goals, this should have been an easy victory for the team. Instead, the loss brings Detroit’s record to 22-23-9.
