After defeating Florida State on Saturday night, John Beilein and his Michigan Wolverines are through to the Final Four.

Around these parts, it’s the Wolverines that have been the talk of the town but on a national level, it has been one person who has stolen the media’s attention.

If you have been following the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament even a little bit, you have surely heard about the 98-year-old chaplain for the No. 11 seed Loyola-Chicago hoops team, Jean Dolores-Schmidt, who is better known as Sister Jean.

Sister Jean has been at each and every Loyola-Chicago game in the tournament and she has absolutely stolen the show with her enthusiasm for Ramblers basketball and her amazing personality.

But now Loyola-Chicago will have to square off against No. 3 seed Michigan in the first of two semifinal matchups which will take place this coming Saturday. The Wolverines, like the Ramblers, have had an amazing run up to this point and the winner will certainly be deserving of a shot at either Kansas or Villanova in the National Championship Game.

On Sunday, former Michigan great Jalen Rose posted a video of his 100-year-old grandmother, Mary Belle Hicks, to Instagram where she has a nice little message for Sister Jean.

“It’s been a good ride,” she said. “But it’s over Saturday. Go Blue! 100.”

Now, in reality, neither Sister Jean nor Rose’s grandmother has anything to do with the outcome of Saturday’s game, but some believe Loyola-Chicago is on a mission from God. Of course, if that is the case, Michigan should have the upper hand considering Wolverines football coach Jim Harbaugh traveled all the way to the Vatican to meet Pope Francis!
