Webster, who is 27-years-old, was originally selected by the Denver Broncos in the 3rd Round of the 2013 NFL Draft. After spending four underwhelming seasons in the Mile High City, Webster signed a 2-year, $8 million deal with the Los Angeles Rams prior to the 2017 season. During that season, he started 11 games where he defended seven passes and made one interception. Unfortunately, Webster tore his Achilles tendon in December and was forced to miss the remainder of the season. He was released by the Rams back in April of this year.
If Webster and the Lions can work out a deal, he would have a solid chance to make the 53-man roster as Detroit does not exactly have a lot of depth in the secondary.
