The (official) wait is over and though it should not come as a surprise to anyone, Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh has named Shea Patterson as the starting quarterback for the Wolverines’ season opener against Notre Dame. Harbaugh made the announcement on Monday during the M Club Ann Arbor lunch.

Ever since Patterson announced he was transferring to the Wolverines from Ole Miss, he was considered a heavy favorite to earn the starting gig for 2018.
