Well, one week of college football is officially in the books for both the Michigan Wolverines and the Michigan State Spartans. Michigan suffered a 24-17 loss on the road to Notre Dame while Michigan State survived a 38-31 matchup against Utah State.
Despite the Spartans winning and the Wolverines losing, both teams dropped in the latest Amway Coaches Poll.
Michigan State dropped one spot to No. 13 while Michigan free fell eight spots to No. 22.
The top five teams in the nation include No. 1 Alabama, No. 2 Clemson, No. 3 Georgia, No. 4 Ohio State, and No. 5 Oklahoma.
Both teams hope to have better performances this weekend when the Spartans travel to Tempe to take on Arizona State while the Wolverines will host Western Michigan.
