“I was hopeful that Nick would be able to return to play again for us,” Ohio State coach Urban Meyer said. “I know this was an extremely difficult and emotional decision for Nick and his family, and I wish him well as he moves on to get himself 100 percent healthy and ready for his next chapter. I want to thank Nick for the remarkable efforts he gave for this program. He is a first-class young man who we have been honored to coach.”

WHOA! Detroit Lions’ CB watches birth of child on Facebook Live
Most people would agree that one of the greatest moments in their life was watching the birth of their children. Though it can be a scary moment for some, there is just something about being next to your wife and watching your child enter the world that takes your breath away.
In a story by Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press, he tells about a day in late July that Detroit Lionscornerback Nevin Lawson will never forget.
Lawson, according to the story, had just completed his first training camp practice when he got a call from his mother-in-law telling him that his wife was about to give birth to their first son. Unfortunately, his wife was in Florida and he was in Michigan which meant he would not have time to see the birth in person. Luckily, modern day technology (in this case, Facebook Live) allowed Lawson to watch the birth of his son in real time.
